Notes on what to add:

  • how often to take - the body averages your intake over a month - so only need a weekly dose (easier to remember)
  • very low cost as capsule, liquid, spray, chewable, etc
  • feel better in weeks - not wait to feel the benefit in years
  • Workshop on Vitamin D ( audience was seniors in the Northern part of the US- but much of it applies to others)
  • loading dose
  • how much to take

Note:The amount of vitamin D you actually need can be 1/2 as much or 2X as much
The relationship between dose and response varies a lot between individuals for many reasons
HERE are some of the ways you can 2X the response in the blood to a dose of vitamin D

# of risk factors Prevent Disease Treat Disease
0 2,000 IU 6,000 IU
1 (example: dark skin) 4,000 IU 10,000 IU
2 8,000 IU lots
